2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data to:
- Operate, personalize, and improve the Farmer Console, Marketplace, Crop Management, Smart Farming, and other features

- Generate anonymized/aggregated analytics, performance reports, and platform enhancements
- Meet legal, tax, regulatory, and contractual responsibilities
3. Lawful Basis for Processing
We rely on the following bases (consistent with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and applicable laws):

- Contract — to deliver Services you requested (trades, crop tools, reports, installations)
- Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, service improvement (balanced against your rights)
- Legal obligation — tax reporting, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We share data responsibly and only when required:
- Service providers (payments, cloud hosting, logistics, analytics) bound by strict data protection agreements
- Verified Marketplace participants (minimal info needed to complete a sale/purchase)
- Trusted partners for mechanization, energy solutions, or installation delivery

We never sell your personal data for marketing purposes.
5. Data Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards — encryption, access controls, regular audits — to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. While we strive for best-in-class protection, no digital system is 100% immune to risk.
6. Your Data Rights
Under NDPA 2023 and other applicable laws you may (where conditions are met):
- Access, correct, or supplement your personal data
- Request deletion / right to be forgotten
- Object to or restrict processing (including marketing)
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Receive your data in portable format

We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described, to fulfill legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements. Financial/transaction records are kept longer to satisfy accounting and regulatory rules.
8. International Data Transfers
As a pan-African platform, data may be processed outside your country. We ensure adequate protections (standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent measures) in line with NDPA requirements.
9. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and tracking tools to enable core functionality (login, preferences), analyze usage (Dashboard, Marketplace), and — with consent — personalize your experience. Manage preferences via your browser or our consent banner.
